About Us
WellFamous is a Hong Kong-registered consultancy that does one thing exceptionally well: helping health supplement and consumer health brands enter and grow across Asia-Pacific markets. We are specialists, not generalists. Our team has spent years operating inside Asian distribution channels, pharmacy networks, e-commerce platforms, and private healthcare systems — so we understand how these markets actually work, not just how they look on paper.
We also know every country's regulatory framework for health products in depth — from Vietnam's VFA filing process to Indonesia's BPOM registration, Malaysia's NPRA requirements, and Singapore's voluntary HSA notification scheme. When a client comes to us, we give them a clear compliance roadmap, introduce them to trusted local distributors and service providers, and stay involved until their product is legally on-shelf and selling. That is the WellFamous model: expertise, connections, and execution.
We know the product registration process in each Asia-Pacific market — from dossier preparation and ingredient review to labelling localisation, halal certification, and import licensing. We guide your brand through the right pathway, fast.
We identify the right channels for your brand — whether that's pharmacy chains, e-commerce platforms, private clinics, or modern trade — and connect you directly to vetted local distributors and channel partners who can move your product.
Beyond advice, we coordinate the actual execution — liaising with local service providers, regulatory agents, logistics partners, and distributors so your market entry moves from plan to shelf without unnecessary delays.
Brands Our Team Has Worked With
Case Study
An Australian maternal nutrition brand engaged our team to enter Vietnam from a standing start: local entity establishment, full product registration for eight SKUs, e-commerce launch on Shopee Mall, and entry into JCI-accredited private hospital groups. The brand now ranks in the top 6 of its Shopee Mall category — ahead of several established international competitors — with a growing hospital and clinic channel. The same playbook — compliance first, channel second, execution throughout — is what we bring to every engagement.
Our Markets
WellFamous maintains registered entities and operational teams in key markets including Hong Kong and Vietnam — providing genuine in-country support rather than remote advice.
Explore Our Market NetworkHow We Work
A practical, market-by-market approach built around the realities of selling health supplements in Asia-Pacific — regulatory first, channel second, execution always.
We start with a clear-eyed assessment of your product, category, and target market — identifying the regulatory pathway, the right channel mix, and the realistic commercial opportunity. No generic reports; everything is specific to your brand and your markets.
We map the full regulatory pathway for each target market — product registration, ingredient approval, label localisation, halal certification where required — and build a clear timeline to get your product legally on-shelf as efficiently as possible.
We introduce you to the right partners — local distributors, pharmacy chain buyers, e-commerce operators, hospital procurement teams, or KOL networks — based on your product, price point, and target consumer. We make warm introductions, not cold lists.
We stay involved through launch — coordinating with local service providers, monitoring regulatory milestones, and supporting channel activation. Our goal is a smooth first shipment, a compliant product on shelf, and a distribution partner who is genuinely committed to your brand.

From market launch to performance marketing and local execution.
Regulatory Intelligence
Getting a health supplement approved and on-shelf in Asia-Pacific is not simple. Every market has its own registration process, labelling rules, permitted ingredients list, and halal requirements. We know these pathways in depth — and we work with trusted local regulatory agents and compliance partners in each market to move your product through the process efficiently.
Health supplements may be regulated as foods or pharmaceutical products depending on formulation, ingredients and claims. Products classified as pharmaceutical products require registration before sale. Strict labelling and advertising compliance under UMAO.
Health supplements do not require pre-market approval; HSA operates a voluntary notification scheme, which does not constitute HSA approval or endorsement. Strict ingredient and claims rules apply. MUIS is the sole halal certification authority — widely accepted across ASEAN and GCC.
Vietnam Food Administration under Ministry of Health. Functional foods require declaration filing. WellFamous has supported health supplement products through Vietnam’s VFA/MOH approval process and maintains a local operating entity in Vietnam.
National Agency for Food and Drug Control. All health supplements require BPOM registration. Halal certification via BPJPH is now mandatory for most food and supplement products.
National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency. Health supplements require NPRA product registration. JAKIM halal certification is voluntary, but commercially important for Muslim consumer trust and selected retail channels, and widely recognised across ASEAN.
Thai Food and Drug Administration under Ministry of Public Health. Health supplements require notification or registration depending on claims. CICOT issues halal certification recognised by Malaysia and Indonesia.
Food and Drug Administration Philippines. Health supplements classified as food supplements require Certificate of Product Registration (CPR). IDCP is the leading halal certifier for the Philippine Muslim market.
Consumer Affairs Agency and Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Supplements sold as Foods with Function Claims (FFC) require pre-market notification. FOSHU (Foods for Specified Health Uses) requires full approval from MHLW.
UAE: Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) regulates health supplements. KSA: Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) is the GCC reference standard. Halal certification via EIAC (UAE) or GAC (GCC) required for all products.
Regulatory summaries above are indicative only and subject to change. Classification and requirements depend on each product's formulation, ingredients and claims. Always confirm current requirements with qualified local regulatory counsel before market entry.
